Before The Devil Knows

Established in 2011, and originally featuring former Black Sabbath and Dio drummer Vinny Appice and Pantera bassist Rex Brown, Kill Devil Hill has gone through various member alterations, ultimately leading to their impressive current lineup – Johnny Kelly on drums (Type O Negative), Mark Zavon on guitar, the incomparable Dewey Bragg on vocals, and Matt Snell (ex-Five Finger Death Punch) on bass. The group teamed up with Chris Bianchi and Legend Recordings to release their remarkable new album titled, Seas of Oblivion.

The album combines classic Hard Rock with tinges of Metal, and ultimately bridges the gap between the two. Comparable to core-format bands like Soundgarden and Alice In Chains, Kill Devil Hill showcases their ability to experiment with many different styles on this new album, and push the envelope of what is expected – keeping things fresh and exciting for their fans.

“Before The Devil Knows” is their most-streamed single on Spotify to date. It’s a groovy track with a combination of infectious vocals and thundering guitars. Kill Devil Hill’s songwriting and harmony skills also shine through here in a major way.  Lyrics like, “I raise my glass to the past, and whatever lies ahead. I hope we get to heaven…before the devil knows we’re dead”, help establish a dark, almost-poetic nature to the track.

Kill Devil Hill released their debut album on SPV Records in May of 2012, and a  sophomore release came out via Century Media in October of 2013. Touring alongside legendary artists such as Alice Cooper and Killswitch Engage, Kill Devil Hill continues to make bringing their unique brand of music to the people their first priority.
