“Red” was a unique piece from its very inception. I usually avoid explaining exactly what my songs mean to me; I prefer letting listeners form their own personal connections without my influence. However, “Red” is universally relatable, depending entirely on how you view love.

For me, the track taps into an emotional landscape rarely explored or written about in music. It captures a complex dimension of love that might be the hardest to navigate. It does not stem from rejection or anger. Instead, it speaks to the parallel emotion of letting go of love to find genuine peace and serenity. While it originates from a darker place than most associate with love, the end result is priceless.
