See Through
“See Through’ was a fun and unexpected collaboration with James Fauntleroy and Colin Britain. They built such a strong foundation for the song that it was easy for us to add our own flavor and make it a Story of the Year track. It was especially exciting to hear Dan’s interpretation of James’ vocal melodies, since the cadence and delivery are so different from what we typically do, or even from what’s common in our genre. The result is something we’re really proud of. We love how it turned out, and we hope you love it as much as we do.” – STORY OF THE YEAR
The music video for “See Through,” directed by Jordan Phoenix, transports Story Of The Year to a mysterious laboratory, where frontman Dan Marsala takes on the role of a mad scientist determined to create his dream girl. But when the experiment takes an unexpected turn, his creation quickly descends into chaos.
Quoting Gary Wallace in Weird Science, the band says, “Making a girl. Actually making a girl. Like Frankenstein…except cuter.”
Story Of The Year has continued their momentum with a year on the road, with the band bringing their high-energy live show to festivals including Welcome To Rockville, Sonic Temple, Download, Vans Warped Tour DC and Long Beach, and more, alongside the first leg of the Camp Screamo Tour and appearances at Rock La Cauze, Afterlife Music Festival, and Vans Warped Tour Mexico. The band will keep the momentum going this fall with the second leg of the Camp Screamo Tour with co-headliner Silverstein, kicking off November 16th in Seattle and making stops in cities including Los Angeles, Atlanta, Baltimore, and New York City before wrapping up December 13th in Boston.

“Story Of The Year helped shape the post-hardcore landscape.”
– Billboard
What’s the sound of Story Of The Year? Loud guitars, massive singalong choruses, and uplifting perseverance. Few records helped build the post-hardcore scene as swiftly as the band’s debut, Page Avenue, one of the first of its kind to sell a million copies. “Until the Day I Die” endures as both an anthem and a mission statement. Tours with Linkin Park, My Chemical Romance, Deftones, and The Used cemented Story Of The Year’s reputation as a stunning and engaging live act. The connection between the band and audience transformed Story Of The Year from teenagers working in a St. Louis pizza chain franchise into hard rock headliners. Fans grew together with Dan Marsala, Ryan Phillips, Josh Wills, and Adam Russell, from albums like Page Avenue (2003), In the Wake of Determination (2005), The Black Swan (2008), The Constant (2010), Wolves (2017), Tear Me to Pieces (2022), to this year’s A.R.S.O.N. (2026).
